Emile Francis takes great pride in writing arrangements for marching bands, pep bands, concert band and stage bands. He has extensive experience writing band arrangements, having served for two years as Head Band Director at Xavier Preparatory School in New Orleans; and nine years as Head Band Director at St. Mary’s Academy, also in New Orleans.
While his forté is arranging "Oldies," Emile’s tune list includes primarily R&B and crossover tunes. He is currently expanding his library to include tunes by The Beatles, The Police, and Led Zeppelin. He also transcribes Classical pieces for small ensembles or full concert bands.
To provide you with the best possible arrangements, Emile arranges the entire tune. With few exceptions, every note of the original song is there for you to keep or cut, He also tweaks the arrangements to fit the balance of your group when necessary.
He will, of course, provide arrangements by commission. Give him the specs and he’ll get it done!
